Take your small business to the next level, start a new business, plan for growth...You can do all those things by attending the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business University.

Small Business University, sponsored by Community Bank and Trust, is an afternoon/evening seminar series tailored to varying levels of business experience, to enhance the knowledge of proper practices and new trends in business management.

Class topics will include: how to write a business plan, marketing strategies, tax laws, time management, global business and many more. Various round-table discussions will also take place during the event to allow further discussion on selected topics.

Our goal is to make small businesses successful by giving business owners the tools and information they need to grow through our workshops. You will receive hands on, practical information taught by industry professionals.

Classrooms have limited available space and are filled on a first-come, first served basis. An evening meal and snacks will be provided.

The Freshman class is for those thinking of starting a business and those who have been in business less than one year. The Sophomore class is for those who have been in business for 1-5 years. Finally, the Junior class is for those who have been in business for more than 5 years.
