Accreditation is the only national program that recognizes chambers for their effective organizational procedures and community involvement. In order to receive Accreditation, a chamber must meet minimum standards in their operations and programs, including areas of governance, government affairs, communications and technology. This extensive self-review can take three to six months to complete and is a joint effort between staff and more than 40 volunteers. Volunteers give unique insight into Chamber programs, events, and services. It is their valuable input that helps form new programs and enhances existing programs to meet the ever changing needs of our Membership.
